Hiking and trekking

Individual hiking experiences, as unique as you are

I accompany you on powerful trails through the most beautiful landscapes in Switzerland. From easy hikes to trekking tours lasting several days. The focus is not on kilometers, summits or altitude meters, but on your wishes, your movement and your experience. I specialize in high-quality, personal and tailor-made offers. This is exactly what my clients value me for - and this is what makes the difference.

Hiking or trekking - what suits you?

Hiking describes the activity itself: we move consciously and mindfully through nature - on foot, on hiking trails, over hills, through forests and along mountain lakes.

Trekking, on the other hand, means multi-day hikes with overnight stays - from cozy mountain hotels to SAC huts. Together we will find the right level and the right region for you.

I offer you:

  • Guided hikes in Switzerland - for individuals, couples or small groups

Whether alone, as a couple or in a small group: I will guide you safely and individually through the most beautiful hiking regions in Switzerland. From quiet paths in the Jura to panoramic high-altitude trails in the Alps - I will tailor the tour to suit you.

  • Day hikes, circular hikes, family hikes

Are you looking for a varied day hike or a route that is also suitable for children? I plan hikes with the right elevation gain, exciting intermediate destinations and safe paths - ideal for families and connoisseurs.

  • Trekking with overnight stays in mountain huts, hotels or guesthouses

When trekking, you are on the road for several days. I plan tours with carefully selected accommodation, from comfortable to simple. You hike with light luggage and can count on a reliable organization.

  • Hiking vacations with light luggage

On multi-day tours, we go into the mountains with the lightest possible luggage - consciously, reduced and well thought out. I help you in advance to know exactly what you really need and what you can leave at home.

I focus on good preparation and individual advice. This allows you to travel with a portable rucksack, move freely and enjoy the tour to the full - without unnecessary weight, but with everything you need.

  • Individual tour planning, tailored to your fitness level, interests and travel time

I don't plan a standard tour. Your fitness level, your desired pace, your preferred landscape and your available days determine the route. Together we will develop your own personal hiking experience.

  • Technique training for safe walking in the terrain (ascent and descent)

Steep ascents and descents are a challenge for many people. I will show you step by step how to use your body correctly, how to walk stably and how to get safely through different terrain - with and without hiking poles.

  • Advice on equipment, hiking poles, rucksacks & co.

The right equipment makes all the difference. I will advise you personally on shoes, clothing, rucksack, poles and everything you need for your tour - tailored to your needs, your physique and your hiking destination.

Your hike, your pace, your destination

Every hike I offer is as individual as you are. Whether it's a leisurely walk along the Swiss hiking trails or a sporty hike over alpine passes - I design the route according to your preferences:

  • Would you prefer to hike through rolling hills or do you love rocky terrain?

  • Do you feel comfortable on forest trails or are you attracted to alpine expanses?

  • Do you prefer to sleep comfortably or rustic and simple?

I will advise you personally and put together a suitable offer for you - from the journey to the route profile and accommodation.

4-day trek through primeval Switzerland

Between Muotathal, Pragelpass, Glattalp and Urnerboden lies a region that captivates with its originality. Nestled in the border region between the cantons of Schwyz, Uri and Glarus, the landscape ranges from deeply incised valleys to tranquil plateaus and bizarre karst landscapes.

Crossing borders - connecting valleys

Enjoyment with comfort: 3 days - 3 passes - 3 valleys

Mountain hiking (T3) between Val d'Anniviers, Turtmanntal, Mattertal from August 5-8, 2026

Immerse yourself with me in one of the most impressive landscapes of the Valais Alps. This mini trek combines the wild Val d'Anniviers with the traditional Mattertal - over panoramic, barren passes, through lovely alpine meadows. We spend the night in comfortable mountain hotels steeped in history. The route takes us over ancient crossings that were once used by muleteers and traders and gives us magnificent panoramic views of the four-thousand-metre peaks of the Valais Alps. Along the way, we encounter an astonishing variety of rocks and alpine flora and may even spot ibexes, marmots or a circling bearded vulture.

FAQ's about hikes and treks

  • What is the difference between hiking and trekking?

Hiking is the classic form of getting around in nature, usually as a day trip, on marked hiking trails, over hills, through forests or along lakes. It is more than just exercise: Walking is one of the healthiest sports, as the study "Walking is medicine", from 2028, by ETH Zurich also shows. It strengthens the heart, circulation and psyche. You can download the "Walking is medicine" study here.

Trekking is a special form of hiking - lasting several days, with overnight stays and usually with a little more equipment in your rucksack. The routes are not necessarily more difficult, but it does require more planning. I organize trekking tours for you with overnight stays in huts, guesthouses or mountain hotels - no self-catering bivouacs. Whether it's a day hike or a multi-day tour, both are suitable for everyone - you just need to know what's good for you.

  • Am I fit enough for a multi-day hike or trekking tour?

Yes - if you enjoy exercise, you're ready. I choose the route so that it suits your pace, your fitness level and your needs. It's not about athletic performance, but about the experience. Whether you prefer a leisurely hike across alpine meadows or enjoy jumping over scree fields - I will design your hiking experience so that you feel safe and comfortable.

  • Where do your hikes take place?

I offer guided hikes throughout Switzerland. From the Jura to Ticino, from the Central Plateau to the high Alps. I know many less crowded but scenically impressive routes - ideal for circular hikes, family hikes or trekking days with overnight stays in mountain huts. I choose the region together with you, adapted to your wishes, travel duration and travel options.

  • What do I need to consider with the equipment?

The right equipment makes every hike more enjoyable and safer. I can help you choose the right hiking boots (soft or hard, depending on the terrain and your habits), clothing, rucksack size and accessories such as hiking poles. Many people walk with poles that are too long or used incorrectly. I will give you specific advice and show you how to make the best use of your equipment.

  • How do you plan a hike or trek?

It all starts with a conversation: you tell me what you want - from a day trip to a multi-day hike. Then I suggest suitable routes, regions and accommodation. I'll take care of all the organizational details, including travel (by public transport or car), stage planning, accommodation and luggage recommendations. All you have to do is set off and set off on your hike.

  • What happens in bad weather?

Safety is always my top priority. My tours are planned professionally and with foresight. They are not canceled lightly. I only cancel a tour if there is an official danger report, e.g. if severe weather or storm warnings are announced.

In all other cases, I find a suitable alternative: this can be a shorter route, a better-protected section or even a relocation to another region of Switzerland, for example spontaneously to the south instead of the north, where the weather is more stable. Thanks to my experience and flexibility, we remain flexible - without risk and without stress.

  • How do I walk safely on steep paths - with or without poles?

Technique is crucial. I will show you step by step how to move safely up and down, regardless of the terrain. Hiking poles can be very helpful with heavy luggage or slippery ground. At the same time, it is important to use them correctly - if used incorrectly, they can cause you to fall. I will show you how to use them sensibly and also help you with the correct adjustment and choice of poles.

  • Who are my offers suitable for?

For all people who enjoy being outdoors - whether beginner, returning hiker, nature lover or experienced hiker. I deliberately work without pressure to perform and respond to your individual wishes. I also put together suitable tours for families, individuals or small groups. And for those who like to talk along the way, I also offer nature or hiking coaching.

  • How much does a guided hike or trekking tour with you cost?

The prices depend on duration, region, effort and your personal desired package. I work individually - so I will be happy to make you a tailor-made offer after a brief discussion. There are no fixed flat rates, but fair prices for personal support and careful planning.

  • Can I hike alone with you, without a group?

Yes - many of my customers appreciate exactly that: a hike all to themselves. No group, no pressure to keep up, no comparisons. You get my full attention and an experience that is completely tailored to you. Whether you want to talk or prefer to walk in silence, I will adapt to you.
